The Vagina Monologues

The Vagina Monologues is an award-winning play based on V-Day founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace, the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public and brought a deeper consciousness to the conversation around ending violence against women and girls. Each year, 90 percent of the proceeds from tickets benefit a local organization and the remaining 10 percent of proceeds benefit a spotlight region of the world chosen by V-Day. I was fortunate to work as a photographer to promote the event to all of Simmons College and surrounding institutions in the Boston area.
